I started out on bicycles years ago and had my own little shop down in Greenwood for a while and really learned about, you know, the right tool for the right job kind of a thing. I wasn’t a hammer and pliers kind of guy. You know, you had to have the specific stuff and dentistry is very much like that.
It just became something that really spoke to me in my mid-30s. I was actually working for a video production company before that with a broadcast degree and I decided to change up in my mid-30s. So I started out in dental school at 34, graduated at 38, did public health for three and a half years between two states and then bought my first practice in 2006 and the Edmonds practice in 2014.
So it’s just really been a great journey, you know, and it’s not something that you have to get right out of school for and be young. You can kick it off at any time, which I proved to be, you know, where I am now because of that. And the people appreciate us and I do try to keep it light, you know, no one wants to be here.
We just try to make a good, you know, good experience for the patients. We want them to know that we certainly appreciate earning their trust and trust is earned every day. We’ve got a great team of people around us.
It’s just magnificent. But when it comes to real serious stuff or really trying to pull a tooth out of the fire, so to speak, we’re so blessed with so many great specialists just right here in our area. There’s such a great friendship among specialists and patients know that if we have to send you to somewhere else, then that just means that we just want to make sure everything goes right the first time for you.

After earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan, Dr. Babin has stayed at the forefront of his field by continuously pursuing education and training. He attends local study clubs, participates in seminars and lectures, and
has completed courses through SPEAR Education and CEREC® Doctors. This commitment to learning ensures that he can provide his patients with the most advanced and effective dental care available.
At his practice, Dr. Babin leads a team of seasoned professionals who share his passion for patient care and comfort. Together, they create a welcoming and supportive environment where every patient feels valued and respected. Whether treating a 5-year-old or a 95-year-old, Dr. Babin and his team always prioritize the needs and well-being of their patients.
Born and raised in Detroit, Dr. Babin now calls Seattle home. He and his wife Michelle have a son named Zach and two cats, Rocky and Apollo. In his free time, Dr. Babin enjoys restoring his family’s 1969 Corvette Stingray, slow-roasting ribs and brisket on his smoker, running, playing the piano and guitar, and listening to classic vinyl records. As avid college football fans, he and his wife spend their fall Saturdays cheering on their favorite teams.
Above all, Dr. Babin cherishes the time he spends with his family, whether they’re playing games, exploring the world, or embarking on local adventures.
